The society meets during the football season, August to May inclusive.

As the Chair of Stockport Referees I have the pleasure of introducing you all you need to know about the ‘Stockport Referees' Society’

We are members of The Referees' Association of England & and are affiliated to Stockport & District and Cheshire County Football Associations.

We have been meeting once a month to help all referees’ in Stockport & the surrounding area since 1947.

We currently have 70 members, Vice Presidents & Life Members from all standards of refereeing, ranging in age from 14 to 85 years old. Referees who officiate in local youth leagues on a park pitch, to a FA Premier League Official.

Our membership includes Refereeing Instructors, Mentors, Coaches and Assessors with countless years of experience to pass onto our members

As a Society we hold our monthly meetings at Edgeley Park, the home of Stockport County FC, in the Executive Suite, on the second Thursday of each month between August & May at 7-45pm.

Meetings are informal social occasions where we discuss all aspects of football and refereeing over a chat, a drink and a chip butty at the end of the night.

At meetings we have either a Guest Speaker or Video Presentation for the evening. The Society also holds a number of social events over the course of the season including the Pie N' Pint evening in August & the Xmas Social in December.
